Job Summary
Financial Partner will primarily assist with member loan requests. Responsibilities include processing and reviewing consumer loans, processing new accounts and account maintenances and processing teller transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Processing consumer loans promptly and accurately.
• Preparing and organizing loan documents.
• Following up as necessary to gather documents and satisfy conditions to comply with approvals.
• Assist with ATM & vault balancing in the branch.
• Opening new accounts and services.
• Opening and processing IRA accounts and transactions.
• Comfortable cross-selling products and services.
• Answer questions and/or resolves complex technical problems on member accounts.
• Ordering debit cards, placing stop payments and completing member debit card disputes.
• Providing exceptional service to members and to credit union colleagues.
• Processing and/or providing member transactions including deposits, withdrawals and payments.
• Balance cash drawer, counting currency and coin accurately.
• Following established credit union policies, procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Providing clerical and system support as needed.
• Willing to participate in community and sponsored events representing Compass in a positive manner.
• Assist with branch balancing, reconciliation, audits, provide training and support to co-workers as needed, fulfill managerial duties in the absence of the branch manager.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Prior banking or member service experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and member service skills, along with a great “can-do” attitude.
• Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-task high volume environment.
• Strong proficiency in PC applications specifically MS Word and Excel with the ability to move swiftly and accurately between multiple applications.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• High degree of patience and problem-solving ability.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up.
