Compass Board Director Pat Sundberg and Jolene Viale, AVP of Finance, presented Antonio, owner of Oaxaca Grill with a special cake in celebration of their 21 years in business. Oaxaca Grill, a family-owned and operated Mexican restaurant located in Henderson Center, has been a valued part of the community for many years. Congratulations on this milestone achievement, and we wish you continued success for many years to come.

Compass was proud to support and sponsor the Redwood Teen Challenge Annual Golf Tournament. Redwood Teen Challenge is a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals overcome life-controlling challenges, including drug and alcohol addiction.

Compass was excited to donate much needed supplies including several basketballs, notebooks, coloring pens and sidewalk caulk to the Boys & Girls Club. Compass members and staff answered the call by donating an assortment of dog and cat treats, toys, and chew items to support the Humboldt Animal Shelter. Bruce Lund, AVP of Marketing and Retail Banking from Compass presented the donated items to Sr. Animal Control Officer, Megan. Also pictured in the photo is Magic, who is currently waiting to be adopted. All the donated items will certainly be put to good use, and we thank you for supporting the shelter. Compass sponsored the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, two-day radiothon campaign through the partnership with Bicoastal media. The radiothon is an annual event to raise money to help support the children’s hospital and fight childhood cancer. Compass is also hoping that by supporting this annual event, it will bring awareness to this worthy cause and help others donate or volunteer their time.

February was Heart Month and Compass was proud to support the American Heart Association, with a special focus on raising awareness about heart disease, symptoms, and early screening. Members were encouraged to help make a difference by stopping in any Compass branch to make a $5.00 donation by purchasing a heart to display inside the branch. Compass matched every donation made by members and staff, with all proceeds donated to the American Heart Association.

Compass matched every $5.00 donation made by members who purchased a heart to display inside the branch. All proceeds were donated to the American Heart Association.

Compass held their annual Holiday Party for staff and employees were invited to participate in the annual 50/50 raffle. 50% is awarded to support a local charity, selected by the employees. This year’s recipient is the Eureka Boys & Girls Club, and Compass was honored to present this wonderful organization with a check for $500.
